摘要：Edge detection is a fundamental tool in image processing and computer vision.The main objective of image analysis is to extract dominating information. Edge detection is image segmentation method based on discontinuity in intensity values. The purpose of the work is to extract and recognize text from camera captured images based on edge detection operators. Five operators used are Prewitt, Roberts, Sobel, LoG and Canny and towards the end all these operators are compared on the basis of results and its matlab simulation.
