摘要：Handwriting recognition has been one of the most emerging, fascinating and challenging research areas in field of image processing and pattern recognition. Handwriting recognition is classified into two types as off-line and on-line handwriting recognition methods. Offline character is means that recognizing the character from the document. In case of online, handwriting recognition the machine recognizes the writing while the user writes. Both use different techniques for recognizing the characters. In this paper, offline handwritten character recognition is discussed .
