摘要：Today, the growth of the Internet along with the increasing availability of multimedia applications has been produced a number of copyright issues. The digital data has been duplicated and edited with great ease which has led to a need for effective copyright protection tools. One of the areas that this growth has fuelled is that of digital watermarking. It is a technique that allows us to add hidden copyright notices, verification messages or any other useful information to the original signal. The hidden message can be a group of bits that describes something about the signal or about the genuine author of the signal. In this paper, a brief overview about various digital water marking techniques for different media types is presented.
