摘要：Image segmentation is an important tool in medical Imageprocessing as it provides information about an object clinicallyin terms of size and shape. Scintigraphy is thyroid diagnostic testdone in nuclear department. The thyroid scintigraphy images helpsto determine the size and shape of thyroid. In this paper, threesegmentation algorithms namely Active contour without edges,localized active contour without edges, Distance regularized levelset are discussed along with their comparison and results.
