  • 摘要:Different types of models have been proposed in the recent yearsto examine different problems associated with induction motors.These models are from the simple equivalent circuit to complexd, q models and abc models which allow the inclusion of differentforms of impedance and/or voltage unbalance. In the recent past,hybrid models have been developed which allow the inclusionof supply side unbalance but with the computational economyof the d, q models. Recently, there are so many applications inwhich induction motors are fed by static frequency inverters. Suchapplications are growing fast and a signifcant work in this feldhas already been done. However, still there are a lot of scopesleft which may be used in this applications. This paper presents adynamic model using PWM inverter and mathematical modellingof the motor. By using this model induction motor may be usedas variable speed applications unlike conventional inductionmotors. The utilization of squirrel cage induction motors withelectronic inverters presents greater advantages on cost and energyeffciency, compared with other industrial solutions for varyingspeed applications. The dynamic simulation of the small powerinduction motor is one of the key steps in the validation of thedesign process of the motor drive system and it is needed foreliminating in advertent design mistakes and the resulting error inthe prototype construction and testing. This model is successfullyused in the fault detection of rotor broken bar for the inductionmachines. This paper demonstrates the simulation of steady-stateperformance of three phase squirrel cage induction motor anddetection of rotor broken bar fault by MATLAB program.
