摘要：Recent ABMs provide compelling accounts of group patternformation, contagion and cooperation, and can be used to predict,manipulate and improve upon collective behavior. In this paperABM describes interactions among individual agents and theirenvironment, and provides a process oriented alternative todescriptive mathematical models. Different situations and systemsare characterized by the presence of autonomous entities whoselocal behaviors (actions and interactions) determine the evolutionof the overall system. Agent-Based models are particularly suitedto support the defnition of models of such systems and also tosupport the design and implementation of simulators.
