  • 摘要:Current study evaluated four varieties (V1= NM-98, V2= KM1, V3= Inqilab mung and V4= Sona mung) of mungbean grown from the seeds irradiated with gamma radiations. Experiments were carried out in RCBD design with four treatments (T0= Control, T1= 5 krad, T2= 10 krad, T3= 15 krad and T4= 20 Krad) and three replications. The material exhibited considerable inconsistency for various morphological traits. Results revealed that gamma radiations caused significant increase in days to flowering, number of branches plant~(-1), number of leaves plant~(-1), number of nodules plant~(-1),days to maturity, plant height, number of pod plant~(-1), pod length, number of seeds pod~(-1), 1000 seeds weight, biological yield, grain yield in plants grown from treated (T1, T2, T3 and T4) seeds as compared to T0 (Control). However maximum days to flowering (52 and 48.3 days), number of leaves (45 and 41.667), number of nodules (16 and 12), days to maturity (87 and 85 days), plant height (52.8 and 50.1 cm), biological yield (1710 and 1676.7 kg/ha) and grain yield (746.67 and 649 kg/ha) were recorded in Sona mung (V4), and Inqilab mung (V3) respectively at Treatment 3 (15 krad). These high yielding mungbean genotypes are recommended for future breeding program.
