摘要:Two field experiments were conducted at North Delta (EL-Hamoul area, Kafr El Sheikh Governorate), Egypt during two successive seasons, 2016/17 and 2017/18 to study the effect of nitrogen and potassium rates and their interactions on some yield characters and quality parameters of sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) cv. (GAZEL). The experiments were laid-out in a split plot design with three replicates. Our findings announced that increasing nitrogen and potassium rates enhanced root, top and sugar yields as well as T.S.S% in the two seasons However, the tested fertilizers did not affect sucrose and purity % in both seasons. Increasing nitrogen rates declined NUE, however, increasing Potassium rates increased NUE. The interaction between N and K rates gained different responses. In regards to KUE, N had varied response on KUE in both seasons. Nevertheless, increasing K rates increased KUE. Also, the interaction between N and K rates achieved different reactions. It could be concluded that the best application rates of N and K fertilizers were 120 kg N/fed + 48 kg K_2O/fed for sugar beet cultivar " GAZIL" at North Delta in EL-Hamoul area, Kafr El Sheikh Governorate, Egypt.
