摘要:The objective of the study was to evaluate the effect of three types of salts, two electrical conductivities, two levels of Si, and the interaction between these factors on the germination, growth, biomass, phenolic compounds, and antioxidant capacity of Moringa oleifera Lam. The experimental design was completely randomized with a factorial arrangement (three factors): (3 * 2 * 2) with two controls. The first factor was the salinity source, sodium chloride (NaCl), magnesium chloride (MgCl_2), or calcium chloride (CaCl_2); the second factor was an electrical conductivity of 3 or 6 dS m~(-1); and the third factor was the Si concentration, 0 or 50 mg L~(-1). The results show that NaCl was the salt that most limited growth and biomass. All variables were negatively affected at 6 dS m~(-1). In the 3 dS m~(-1) case, the highest antioxidant capacity was presented with CaCl_2, while at 6 dS m~(-1), the trend was reversed, with NaCl resulting in more total phenols, total flavonoids, and antioxidant capacity. Si increased the growth, biomass, vigor indices, total phenols, total flavonoids, and antioxidant capacity, regardless of the type of salt and EC. Therefore, Si should be considered as an alternative to improve the conditions of seedlings subjected to salinity.
