摘要:Forward osmosis, which is one of the highly concerned issues in the field of membrane separation, is receiving more and more attention. In order to enhance the performance of forward osmosis process, the effect of the draw solution concentration, temperature and fluid velocity in two membrane orientation modes were investigated. The results indicated that the membrane flux in PRO mode was higher than that in FO mode and inner concentration polarization was the main factor influencing the membrane flux. Increasing the temperature of the draw solution can increase the water flux up to 17% and effectively reduce the internal concentration polarization. Accelerating the draw solution flow rate can increase the water flux up to 18.5% and effectively remove the influence of external concentration polarization. This study provided a theoretical basis for reducing the concentration polarization phenomenon and improving water flux in the application of forward osmosis membrane technology.
