  • 摘要:The effect of dietary fiber (DF) obtained from wheat bran, including both toxicological and physiological sides, were studied through experimental animal (mice). Besides, there was no experimental animal die or show abnormal behaviors in toxicity or short-term feeding test. 5 biochemical indicators of the mice in all dose groups basically kept the same as the control group, indicating that this DF has no acute or sub-chronic toxicity. The testing results of bone marrow cell micronucleus and sperm shape abnormality prove that this DF has no mutagenic and genetic teratogenic effects. For the frequency of micronucleated cell, the DF dose groups showed no significant difference, but with only a tendency negatively related with DF intake slightly compared with the positive control group. Thus, this DF may be harmless to human and animals.
