摘要:The environmental-friendly modified starch as filtrate reducers in water-based drilling fluids respectively were successfully synthesized and characterized in detail. The starch-based filtrate reducers (SFR) were firstly synthesized through etherification-crosslinking composite modification. The evaluation results indicate that SFR exhibits good thermal stability due to the introduction of strong hydration sulfonate groups and the formation of complex network structure in the molecular structure of modified starch. Furthermore, rheological and filtration measurements were performed to investigate its feasibility or compatibility of SFR as filtrate reducers for water-based drilling fluids. The results demonstrate that SFR has excellent filtration reduction properties, high temperature and salt resistance. The starch-based filtrate reducers (SFR) also presents favorable environmentally friendly performance with EC_(50) value of 96500mg/. The starch-based filtrate reducers (SFR) could be environmentally friendly and priority alternatives to conventional filtrate reducers in water-based drilling fluids.
