摘要:Modern supply chain networks are often subject to a series of disruptive events, which may cause significant problems to their operation. This paper proposes a novel approach for designing manufacturing networks, taking into consideration the potential appearance of disruptive events. A multiple criteria simulation-based method is employed for evaluating alternative supply chain configurations under normal and irregular operating conditions. The paper considers quantitative data about the operation of the network and experts’ information regarding the potential occurrence of disruptive events. The proposed approach is demonstrated through experiments based on a real-world scenario from the aviation industry.
