摘要：This paper deals with a different approach to hardware implementation of PI controller. Logarithmic Number Systems (LNS) are used for number representation instead of classic, floating point (FLP) or fixed point (FP) representation. The comparison and pros and cons of these representation are presented. The results shows, that using LNS can be another way to implement controllers. The implementation were realized on Field Programmable Gate arrays (FPGA).
