摘要：The purpose of this research is to conduct validityand reliability studies within the context of the development of theMathematical Literacy Self-Efficacy Scale for middle school students. In thescope of the study, explanatory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysisand Cronbach alpha internal consistency coefficient reliability calculationswere made to the data obtained from 1124 students who were studying in the 7thgrade of the public schools of cal districts in Adana province. In order todetermine the discrimination power, Independent groups t test was appliedbetween group scores. As a result of the analyzes made, it is seen that thescale consists of 30 items with 4 subcomponents and has a .925 Cronbach alpha internalconsistency coefficient and is at a distinctive level. The scale explains48.34% of the total variance. In addition, the confirmatory factor analysiscarried out in order to test the adequacy of the obtained structure shows thatthe resulting model is acceptable. The results have shown that the MiddleSchool Mathematical Literacy Self-efficacy Scale is a valid and reliablemeasurement tool.Bu araştırmanın amacı ortaokul öğrencilerineyönelik Matematik Okuryazarlık Öz Yeterlik Ölçeği’nin geliştirilmesi kapsamındageçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmalarının yapılmasıdır. Çalışma kapsamında 7.sınıflarda öğrenim görmekte olan 1124 öğrenciden elde edilen verilereaçımlayıcı faktör analizi, doğrulayıcı faktör analizi ve Cronbach alfa içtutarlık katsayısı güvenirlik hesaplamaları yapılmış, ayırt edicilik gücünütespit etmek amacıyla alt ve üst %27’lik grup puanları arasında bağımsızgruplar t testi uygulanmıştır. Yapılan analizler neticesinde ölçeğin 4 altbileşene sahip 30 maddeden oluştuğu, ölçeğin .925 Cronbach alfa iç tutarlıkkatsayısına sahip ve ayırt edici düzeyde olduğu görülmüştür. Ölçek toplamvaryansın %48,34’ünü açıklamaktadır. Buna ek olarak elde edilen yapının nederece uygun olduğunu test etmek amacıyla gerçekleştirilen doğrulayıcı faktöranalizinde ortaya çıkan modelin kabul edilebilir düzeyde olduğu görülmüştür.Elde edilen sonuçlar, Ortaokul Matematik Okuryazarlık Öz Yeterlik Ölçeğinin geçerlive güvenilir bir ölçme aracı olduğunu göstermiştir.
