摘要：In this research, the aim was to evaluate students’opinions about the project work carried out in Science and Art Centers.Phenomenology design, a qualitative research design, was used in the research.The research group consisted of five gifted students studying at a Science andArt Center in the Eastern Anatolia Region and participating in national andinternational project studies. In the research, a semi-structured interview wasused as the data collection tool. Expert opinion was sought in the preparationof the interview form. Content analysis was carried out in the data analysisand codes, categories and themes were created in line with the data obtained.The participants stated that the project work carried out at the Science andArt Center are original and have many benefits such as fostering problemsolving skills, cooperation and self-confidence. In addition, participants inthe project work also stated that they faced many problems in terms of subjectdetermination, process, report writing, jury members, presentation of projectsand access to materials. In order to solve the problems, the participantssuggested that the literature should be scanned in detail paying attention to scientificaspects, and the jury members should be selected from persons carrying out studiesin different fields. It was also recommended that universities and otherinstitutions should support the project work. In the light of theseevaluations, it is important to provide training on project studies to thestudents studying in Science and Art Centers where project activities arecarried out intensively. In addition, it is recommended that universitiesprovide the necessary support to Science and Art Center students who carry outproject studies, in terms of material supplies and information sharing.Buaraştırmada Bilim ve Sanat Merkezleri’nde yürütülen proje çalışmalarına ilişkinöğrenci görüşlerinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada nitelaraştırma yöntemi desenlerinden fenomenoloji deseni kullanılmıştır.Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Doğu Anadolu Bölgesi’nde yer alan bir Bilim veSanat Merkezi’nde öğrenim gören, ulusal ve uluslararası proje çalışmalarınakatılmış ve çeşitli başarılar elde etmiş beş özel yetenekli öğrencioluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak yarı yapılandırılmışgörüşme kullanılmıştır. Görüşme formunun hazırlanmasında uzman görüşünebaşvurulmuştur. Veri analizinde içerik analizi yürütülmüş olup elde edilenveriler doğrultusunda kodlar, kategoriler ve temalar oluşturulmuştur.Katılımcılar, Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi’nde yürütülen proje çalışmalarının özgünolduğunu ve problem çözme becerilerini geliştirme, işbirliğini ve özgüveniarttırma gibi birçok faydası olduğunu ifade etmişlerdir. Bununla birliktekatılımcılar proje çalışmalarında; konu belirleme, süreç, rapor yazma, jüriüyeleri, projelerin sunumu ve malzemeye ulaşma açısından birçok problemlerlekarşılaştıklarını da belirtmişlerdir. Katılımcıların belirtikleri problemlere yönelik çözüm önerileri; bilimselliğe dikkat edilerek alan yazınındetaylı taranması, farklı alanlarda çalışmalar yürüten kişilerden jüri üyelerininseçilmesi, üniversitelerin ve diğer kurumların proje çalışmalarına destekvermesi yönündedir. Bu değerlendirmeler ışığında, proje çalışmalarının yoğunolarak yürütüldüğü Bilim ve Sanat Merkezleri’nde öğrenim gören öğrencilereproje çalışmalarına yönelik belli dönemlerde eğitimlerin verilmesi önem arzetmektedir. Ayrıca, üniversitelerin proje çalışmaları yapan Bilim ve SanatMerkezi öğrencilerine malzeme temini ve bilgi paylaşımı yönünden gereklidesteği vermesi önerilmektedir.
