摘要：Cabo Verde vive uma transformação económica e social fruto do rápido crescimento da atividade turística particularmente acentuada desde 2006 aquando da abertura do aeroporto internacional da Boa Vista. Atualmente esta ilha já se encontra a par da sua congénere do Sal e ambas representam a quase totalidade das dormidas do país. Esta aposta na atividade turística foi fruto de um percurso político e ideológico e respetivo planeamento, com implicações na sociedade cabo ‑verdiana, e em particular nas ilhas referidas. Este planeamento implicou uma formatação e um modelo de promoção e abertura internacional promovido a par do Estado e dos seus municípios. A Sociedade de Desenvolvimento Turístico das Ilhas da Boa Vista e Maio (SDTIBM) é o exemplo máximo desta visão. O presente artigo descreve e debate o processo político e a estrutura de governança turística do país refletindo as lições aprendidas.
其他摘要：Cape Verde is experiencing an economic and social transformation because of the rapid growth of tourism on the up since 2006 and the inauguration of the international airport in Boa Vista. Currently, this island is already close to its counterpart of Sal and both represent almost all the overnight stays in the Archipelago. Backing tourism was the end result of a political and ideological plan with implications for the Cape Verde society, particularly in Sal and Boa Vista. This plan implied a standardised model of promotionand opening up to international markets, a campaign directed by the State through its municipalities. The Boa Vista and Maio Island Tourism Development Corporation (SDTIBM) is the ultimate example of the implementation of this vision. This paper describes and discusses the country’s political process and the governance structures within tourism reflecting on the lessons learnt.
