摘要:This paper discusses the implications of Additive Manufacturing processes on sustainability. It evaluates energy consumption in Additive Manufacturing (AM) for relevant technologies as Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) and Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) under different products and process specification. A comparison between traditional Subtractive and Additive technologies is performed in order to weight the direct and indirect consumption impact of the new technology. Product specification, energy and gas and material consumption, waste and recycle and emissions in order preparation and post processing are included and discussed beyond a DoE approach. Convenience points are here discussed over materials and recycling rate.
