  • 摘要:Oil content and fatty acid com position are im portant properties in term s o f consum ption o f oily seed products. C otton plant is one o f the im portant oil plants. O il cakes are by-products obtained from cotton seed is an im portant source o f protein in anim al nutrition. Seeds o f cotton (G ossypiu m hirsu- tum L.) genotypes (Stoneville-468, B A -119, DP- 396, B abylon are registered; proceeding w ith registration E speria (G W -13-921) and B om ba (G W -13- 1409) and including new lines G W -15179, G W 15180, G W -15184, G W -15186, G W -15187, G W -15188, G W -15189, G W -15191) w ere used to investigate oil content and fatty acid com position in a producer field in 2017 and 2018. The experim ent w as designed in random ized block design w ith 4 replications, each plot being 4 row s, 72 cm spacing betw een row s and 16-18 cm spacing w ithin row s. C otton seeds w ere sow n on 1 M ay 2017 and 4 M ay 2018. T he oil content o f seeds obtained from cotton genotypes w as determ ined by Solvent E xtraction m ethod and fatty acids w ere determ ined by G as C hrom atography (G C). The average oil content w as 19%. M ean o f contents o f m yristic acid, palm itic acid, palm itoleic acid, stearic acid, linolenic acid and arachidic acid w ere 0.81% , 23.7% , 0.56% , 2.38% , 0.14% and 0.28% , respectively. A dditionally, oleic and linoleic acid contents w ere 17% and 53% , respectively. G W -15180 and E speria genotypes regarding crude oil content and D P-396 and G W -15179 genotypes in term s o f fatty acids especially for oleic acid content can be used in cotton seed quality breeding program s.
