摘要：entrThe purpose of this study is to examine the storynamed ‘Do not decide hurriedly’ in the 8th Grade Turkish Text Book, which istaught in the 2018-2019 academic year. In addition, both the overall and thedeep structure of the text is revealed.In the study, content analysis technique which is one of the qualitativeresearch designs was preferred. The data source of the study is the story, ‘Donot decide hurriedly’ in the Grade 8 Turkish Textbook (MEB Publishing), whichis taught in the 2018-2019 academic year. In the selection of the text,in-depth data and information acquisition are taken into consideration. Whileanalyzing the text, the text structure template in Aydın’s (2012) study wasbased. In this context, while small scale structure was taken as a result ofthe investigations carried out at sentence and word level, holistic analysiswas made by looking at large scale structure. As a result, the text included inthe study consisted of 69 sentences (507 words). In addition the text hasnonsuppressed expression in overall and deep structure and the use in textbooksmay be useful in the context of Turkish learning outcomes.Buçalışmanın amacı, 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim döneminde okutulan Millî EğitimBakanlığı Yayınları 8. sınıf Türkçe Ders Kitabı’ndaki “Acele Karar Vermeyin” adlıöyküyü metinsellik özellikleri açısından incelemektir. Ayrıca metnin hem yüzeyhem de derin yapısını ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmada nitel araştırmadesenlerinden olan içerik analizi deseni tercih edilmiştir. Çalışmanın verikaynağını, 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim döneminde okutulan MEB Yayınları 8. sınıfTürkçe Ders Kitabı’nda yer alan “Acele Karar Vermeyin” adlı öyküoluşturmaktadır. Metin seçiminde çalışmanın amacına uygun olarak derinlemesineveri ve bilgi edinebilme hususu dikkate alınmıştır. Metin çözümlenirkenAydın’ın (2012) çalışmasından hareketle geliştirilen metin yapısı şablonu esasalınmıştır. Bu kapsamda cümle ve sözcük düzeyinde yapılan incelemelerde küçükölçekli yapı esas alınırken, bütünsel analiz büyük ölçekli yapıya bakılarakyapılmıştır. Sonuç olarak araştırma kapsamına alınan metnin 69 cümleden (507sözcük) oluştuğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca metnin yüzeysel ve derin yapıda sağlam biranlatıma sahip olduğu, ders kitaplarında kullanılmasının Türkçe kazanımlarıbağlamında faydalı olabileceği tespit edilmiştir.
