  • 摘要:Storage tank is a key component in the process of oil and gas gathering and transportation, which is related to the safety of Oil and gas storage and transportation. However, with the use of prolonged time and harsh working conditions, the storage tank is liable to cause damage such as corrosion. While greatly increasing the cost, it also increases the risk of oil and gas leakage to pollute the environment. Therefore, how to effectively extend the service life of storage tanks has become one of the difficult points to be urgently addressed. Cathodic protection technology is currently the most effective method to extend the life of storage tanks. Cathodic protection is mainly divided into impressed current cathodic protection and sacrificial anode protection methods. Among them, the problems of underprotection and overprotection in impressed current cathodic protection technology are still serious. This article established a set of indoor simulation test equipment, mainly by simulating the self-corrosion potential distribution of the tank bottom and tank walls and the potential distribution of various parts of the tank bottom and inner walls under different media conditions, and analyzing whether it is possible to set auxiliary anodes and reference electrodes to solve the problem of pitting corrosion and stray current corrosion. The results show that the potential attenuation in the medium decreases with the increase of the conductivity of the medium, and the potential attenuation decreases as the distance from the auxiliary anode increases. The polarization potential is relatively positive at the junction of the tank w all and the tank bottom, which is the weakest place in the tank for protection. This research has certain guiding significance for effectively increasing the life of storage tanks and preventing risks such as Oil and gas leakage pollution.
