摘要:The Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)significantly improves with the integrated optimization ofpreventive maintenance and quality control. This paperpresents a new mixed-integer non-linear programming model.This model determines the optimal preventive maintenanceinterval as well as the optimal parameters of the X controlchart taking into account the OEE. The optimization performsby considering the production system as a continuous-timehomogeneous Markov chain, to minimize the costs per timeunit and maximize OEE. A numerical example is used toevaluate this new model. Sensitivity analysis performs todetermine the effect of the model parameters on optimaldecisions. This analysis further illustrates the relationshipbetween preventive maintenance and statistical quality controland also their effect on OEE.
