摘要:Shale gas resource is an important unconventional energy source which is characterized by selfgeneration and self-storage. Fine clastic rock is the main enriched rock type of shale gas resource. The study of the storage space characteristics is of great significance in the process of shale gas exploration and development. The fine clastic rocks of the Upper Ordovician-Lower Silurian Wufeng-Longmaxi Formation in southwest Hubei are mainly dark silty sands, silty mudstones, and shales, and are rich in carbonaceous and petrified fossils. These rocks are formed in the shallow sea shelf environment where the water body gradually becomes shallower which can be divided into six sections and three long-period sedimentary cycles in the vertical direction. The field geological survey, indoor thin-film analysis, and argon ion polishing scanning electron microscope identification show the main storage space types of fine clastic shale gas in the study area include: organic matter pores, mineral intragranular pores, organic matter and mineral interparticle pores, intergranular pores of mineral particles, micro-cracks and micro-eroded pores, macro-fracture system. The causes of different types of reservoir space and their significance to shale gas resources are different.
