摘要:Related to the theory of Critical Discourse Analysis area, our goal in this research is to analyze some news clippings published by printed media of São Paulo in the course of XIX, XX and XXI centuries about segments excluded according to their socioeconomic conditions and that they are thus subordinated to another majority and dominant group. Considering that the media the most of the time were in the hands of dominants groups, it is known that we are going to find in these newspapers a prejudiced discourse which agrees with the prevailing ideology. This kind of discourse can be structured in many ways of writing (different discursive methods), aiming to the maintenance of a consensual hegemony and status quo, being the objective of this work to describe them. The material for analysis was extracted from the newspapers Correio Paulistano, A Província de São Paulo/O Estado de S. Paulo and Folha da Noite/Folha de S. Paulo.
