  • 摘要:In this paper, an efficient numerical method forsolving a class of fractional variational problems (FVPs) isdiscussed. Firstly, an operational matrix of the fractionalderivative in the Caputo sense is derived for the Chebyshevcardinal functions. The choice of Chebyshev cardinal functionsprovides flexibility for the method, and the boundary conditionscan be easily applied. Secondly, a direct method based onthe Chebyshev cardinal functions is proposed to obtain theapproximate solution of the fractional variational problems.Finally, applicability and simplicity of the proposed methodhas been shown with some illustrative examples.
