  • 摘要:At present, cadmium metal pollution has become one of the main causes of water pollution. How to effectively control the problem of cadmium pollution has become a research hotspot. In this paper, the adsorption of C?d2’ in water by a composite adsorbent formed by chitosan modified coconut shell biochar in different coagulants was studied. SEM and FTIR analysis showed that the fiinctional group composition of the two coagulants was basically the same. The pore area and the number of fiinctional groups of the powdered biochar/chitosan composite adsorbent were significantly larger than the granular bio-char/chitosan composite adsorbent. Adsorption experiments show that although the amount of adsorbent, pH, and initial ion concentration all affect (he adsorption efficiency of the two adsorbents, the adsorption efficiency of the powder composite adsor-bent is higher than that of the granular adsorbent under different conditions. Both composite adsorbents are fitted to the quasi-second-order kinetic model and Langmuir isotherm adsorption model, but the powdered composite adsorbent has more active sites and faster adsorption rate. The maximum adsorption amount of the powdered composite adsorbent is 14.7mg/g, while the maximum adsorption capacity of the granular composite adsorbent is 6.33mg/g. Based on cost and adsorption efficiency, the powdered biochar/chitosan composite adsorbent has greater potential for the treatment of cadmium (II) pollution in wastewater.
