摘要：Continuity and severity of homicide incidentsin Karachi in actuality is a sign of negligence byadministration, one of the components of Routine ActivityTheory. Looking at other crimes, like car and motorbikethefts or cell phone snatchings, homicide incidents aremuch more shocking, having fluctuated from 550-495,1705, 2258, 2062, 2002, 1820, 918 and 450, respectivelybetween 2009 and 2017. Policy makers and policedepartments might use GIS to observe trends in criminalactivity through geo-coded data and maps may provesignificant in solving criminal cases. In this connection,the half square cells configuration has been introduced forevaluation of geographic core of the study area regardinghomicides. The study has also sought to reduce theperception that the entire city is enveloped in homicidesrather that specific parts of the city are scourged by thisheinous crime.
