摘要:Both Mean (M) and Standard Deviation (SD)are considered basic parameters in statistics andmathematics in measuring central tendencies. Bothparameters are widely used in statistical softwareprograms such as Excel spreading sheets, SPSS andothers. The main objectives of this study were tointroduce new statistical concepts: Kinetic mean (Km)and Kinetic Standard Deviation (KSD) to demonstratehidden variations and to understand in depth their impacton our understanding of biomedical data. In classicstatistics, the M value gives a value for the whole sampleand also the SD gives the deviation of all numbers fromtheir M. This study is based on giving the idea ofintegrating portioned data. The data are further subdividedinto short intervals and the M and SD are computedaccordingly. Other statistical parameters such as the T testare computed accordingly. At the end of performing manymathematical calculations, a table summarizing the wholeparameters is presented. The results of the study showedthat the mean of the sample and the kinetic mean wereclose to each other, although, the kinetic mean wasslightly less than that of the sample mean. The standarddeviation of the sample was higher than that of the kineticstandard deviation. The main idea of this study was tocheck the internal variations in both kinetic mean andkinetic standard deviation for each two adjacent figures. In this case, both kinetic mean and standard deviationswere shown to be in kinetic mode. We were also able tocompute the significance between these values.
