摘要：In 2021, Tapuya publishes its fourth volume. Perhaps because of the pandemic and the changes that have taken place since the beginning of 2020, the day when we launched the journal, at the annual meeting of the Society for Social Studies of Science in Boston, becomes a distant memory. It was in 2017 that the association decided to award the J.D. Bernal Prize to Hebe Vessuri, who is undoubtedly the most outstanding academic in the field in Latin America. Even more distant are the days of conversations and decisions, since May 2016, between those of us who launched ourselves to publish an academic journal in English and from/for Latin America. From the name of the journal to the publisher, including the sponsors and institutional affiliations, everything was done by hand, with much uncer- tainty, and some convictions that continue today.
