摘要：Tapuya is a highly innovative yet editorially challenging journal because of its multiple connec- tions with institutions and academics throughout South America, Central America, and the Caribbean, as well as around the globe. In addition to making editorial decisions, the founding Editor in Chief (EiC), along with the Editorial Team, have devoted time to financial issues, scho- larly networking, negotiations with the publisher, setting up journal infrastructures, recruiting staff, and problem-solving related to the daily activities of the journal. Editing the journal will continue to remain a demanding part-time job, though a highly rewarding one.
