摘要：The level of urbanization in Mamuju Regency has caused an increase in the volume of waste. due to the fact that the existing landfill in Mamuju Regency is approaching maximum capacity, the local government has been looking for alternatives in processing waste through the existence of a garbage bank program. Therefore, the reduction of waste through garbage banks has existed in Mamuju Regency. The main survey in the form of interviews with relevant stakeholders has been conducted to obtain data used for the analysis of community participation. This research was conducted by looking at the effectiveness of waste management in Mamuju Regency through a case study approach to the community as customers in the garbage bank program. The waste bank is a waste and waste management model, a form of waste management business by implementing the 3R (Reduce-Reuse-Recycle) activity. Waste banks can become economic institutions where waste can be a transaction tool used in their activities, because like conventional banks that use money as the instrument, the waste bank emphasizes its focus on waste management, which is the current environmental problem.
