摘要:AbstractThis paper presents a steady-state model of the high-pressure grinding rolls (HPGR) based on population balance methods. It simulates the power draw, flow rate, and particle size distribution of both the edge and center products from the operating pressure, rotating speed, and size-by-size feed rates. Upgrades from previous work include the addition of the edge cutter setting (in distance unit) as an input parameter, and the equation for the variation of density along the rolls width to account for inaccuracy in throughput prediction generally compensated using an extrusion or slip correction factor. Results appear qualitatively coherent, but remain to be validated with experimental data.
