摘要:The purpose of this research is to examine digital parenting awareness according to gender, education level, age, smartphone usage time, child's Internet addiction and family roles. The study includes parents who have children attending primary school. The research is carried out by using the scanning type research model and the relational scanning model. Digital Parenting Awareness Scale (DPAS), Family-Child Internet Addiction Scale, Family Evaluation Scale and Personal Information Form developed by the researcher are used as data collection tools. In data analysis, independent samples t-test, one-way ANOVA and correlation analysis are used. According to the findings; it is concluded that negative model and digital negligence levels of parents with healthy family roles are lower than parents with unhealthy family roles and also their efficient use and risk protection levels are higher than the ones with healthy family roles. It is determined that the Internet addiction level of the child is positively related to being a negative model and to digital negligence, negatively associated with protection from risks. It is found that the healthy or unhealthy roles of the family is an important factor in digital parenting awareness and especially being negative model and digital negligence affect the child's Internet addiction significantly. According to the results, suggestions are made for parents to increase their digital parenting awareness.
