摘要:The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between academic leadership perceived by academic staff working in higher education institutions and organizational commitment levels. The study was carried out with the relational screening model. The research universe is composed of 892 academic staff working in a state university in Central Anatolia. The study sample consists of 252 lecturers determined using the cluster sampling method. The data were collected with the help of "Academic Leadership Scale" developed by Karsantık and "Organizational Commitment Scale" developed by Meyer and Allen to evaluate the organizational commitment of employees. In the study, the academic leadership and organizational commitment levels perceived by the faculty members working in different units of the relevant higher education institution were determined according to the variables of the unit, academic title, gender, age and professional seniority and the relations between the variables were tried to be revealed. Among the results of the study, it is seen that academic leadership perception does not differ according to the variables of unit, academic title, gender and seniority, but according to the age variable. It is observed that the organizational commitment levels of the academic staff do not differ according to the variables of unit and gender, the emotional and normative commitment levels do not differ according to the age variable, the levels of attendance commitment differ, the levels of emotional commitment do not differ according to the seniority variable, the levels of attendance and normative commitment differ, and differ according to the academic title variable. It was concluded that academic leadership perception affects organizational commitment level and organizational commitment level affects academic leadership perception.
