摘要:The purpose of present study is to calculate the overall effect size of the game-based learning method on students' attitudes in science lesson between 2005 and 2018 years, using meta-analysis method according to the learning method proposed in the program. For this aim, studies conducted in Turkey related to subject area and 12 data from 11 researches on attitude towards science that met the criteria are included in meta-analysis. The data were analysed with Comprehensive Meta-Analysis (CMA) program and the results were explained with the Thalheimer and Cook (2002) classification. Hedges's g coefficient was used to calculate the effect size and interpret the findings, and the confidence level was accepted as 95%. When the meta-analysis results in this study were evaluated, the effect size of game-based learning on students' attitudes towards science was calculated as 0.540 and positively classified as "medium level". Game-based learning has a significant effect on the attitude towards science lesson according to the method envisaged in the program.
