摘要:Rhizctonia damping-off in chili pepper is becoming a threating disease in Jordan.Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and olive cake can reduce plant pathogens by promoting plant growth and improving soil characteristics, respectively.AMF was collected and extracted from different soil locations in Jordan, identified, and manipulated on wheat as plant stock culture for three months.Chili pepper was collected to recover the damping-off pathogens from the Jordan Valley. The fungal pathogen Rhizoctonia solani was identified and purified as a main causal agent of damping-off.The results showed that single inoculation with Glomus mosseae and double inoculation by G.mosseae + R.solani treatments had the highest values in all growth parameters considered with no significant differences. On the other hand, when Olive cake (OC) was added with Rhizoctonia solani to G.mosseae inoculated plants, the value for the different parameters decreased. The presence of OC with the pathogen or with G.mosseae yielded better values for the different parameters compared with treatments having the pathogen alone. In conclusion, G.mosseae was very good biological practice in controlling chili pepper damping off disease when used alone, but mixing G.mosseae with OC decreased the efficacy of G.mosseae.
