  • 标题:PIVOTAL ROLE OF YEASTANDASCORBICACID IN IMPROVEMENTS MORPHO-PHYSIOLOGICAL AND YIELD CHARACTERS OF TWO WHEAT CULTIVARS UNDER WATER DEFICIT STRESS IN CALCAREOUS SOIL

  • 摘要:Two field experiments were conducted in two successive seasons 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 to study the effect of yeast and ascorbic acid (AA) as osmo-protectant on the morpho-physiological characters,grain yield and yield component of two wheat cultivars (Misr2 and Sohag4) under water deficit stress (I1= Two irrigations,I2= Four irrigations and I3= Six irrigations).Our results showed that the plant height,number of spikes/m2,number of grains/S,1000 KW,grain yield were significant affected by the interaction among irrigation treatments,wheat cultivars and osmo-protectant in both seasons.The highest values of yield and yield component were obtained by I2V2R2 interaction in the two seasons,also the maximum values of the grain yield were 12.1 ton ha-1 in the second season,which obtained by I2V2R2 interaction.The highest values of proline and carotene were recorded by I2V2R2,while,the lowest value of proline was recorded by I3V1R4 and the lowest value of carotene was observed by I1V2R1.The highest value of chlorophyll A was recorded by I1V2R3,while the lowest value was recorded by I1V1R1.However,the highest value of chlorophyll B was recorded from the interactions involved high irrigation numbers (I3),while the lowest values occurred from the I1V2R1 interaction,in the two growing seasons.
