  • 摘要:At present,the low comprehensive utilization rate of steel slag is a stumbling block to the green and sustainable development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.In this paper,we adopt environmental protection concept of "waste from waste" to further expanded the application of steel slag in wastewater treatment field.Three different kinds of steel slag from steel enterprise along the Yangtze River were utilized for this study and their removal ability and adsorption characteristics for heavy metal ion (Pb2+,Cd2+) and phosphorus (P)-containing wastewater were evaluated.For the Pb2+,batch kinetic and isotherm studies were undertaken,and the date evaluated for compliance with quasi-first-order Langmuir and Freundlich models.And the saturation adsorption capacity of Pb2+ by these three kinds of steel slag were all greater than 0.456 mg/g,showing multi-molecular layer adsorption.Meanwhile,Cd2+ removal rate by these three kinds of steel slag were as high as 99% with different concentration gradients.For the P,the adsorption capacity of these three kinds of steel slag were 3.34,4.16 and 3.99 mg/g,with the maximum removal rate 70.49%,81.82% and 84.11%,respectively.The above results show that steel slag is a promising adsorbent,which is effective as well as economically attractive for wastewater treatment.
