摘要：This article proposes the combined use of Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) and Social Network Analysis (SNA) as a methodological strategy for research. In such a way as to illustrate this combination, the usefulness of its use is demonstrated through its application within the framework of an investigation on the support networks of retirees in Santiago de Chile. The results indicate that when evaluating the satisfaction of the elderly with respect to their pensions, it is necessary to incorporate variables about their personal relationships since they influence it. It is concluded that the use of this strategy, being a mixed methods approach, helps in the incorporation of the relational in social research.
