摘要：O presente estudo investigou a produção científica brasileira voltada à avaliação cognitiva infantil entre 2002 e 2012. Foram analisados 67 artigos de 25 periódicos científicos. Os resultados evidenciaram que os anos mais profícuos foram 2007 e 2008. Pesquisas provindas da região Sudeste, desenvolvidas por mulheres, em coautoria e relatos de pesquisa foram os trabalhos mais frequentes, assim como os estudos com objetivo de diagnóstico-intervenção. Verificou-se, ainda, que a avaliação cognitiva infantil foi predominantemente realizada no contexto escolar e que Desenho da Figura Humana – DFH; Matrizes Progressivas de Raven e WISC – III foram os instrumentos mais utilizados. Dada à relevância da avaliação cognitiva infantil, bem como que a revisão descrita não foi exaustiva, ressalta-se a necessidade de outras investigações, principalmente no que diz respeito à qualidade dos instrumentos empregados.
其他摘要：The present study investigated scientific production in Brazil focused on infant cognitive assessment between 2002 and 2012. We analyzed 67 articles from 25 journals. The results showed that the most fruitful years were 2007 and 2008. Studies emanating from the Southeast, developed by women, and co-authored research reports were the most common type of articles, as well as studies related to diagnostic intervention. It was found also that infant cognitive assessment was predominantly realized in the school context and that the Draw a Human Figure test - DHF; the Progressive Matrices from Raven and the WISC – III were the most frequently used instruments. The importance of cognitive assessment and the fact that the described review was not exhaustive, emphasize the need for further investigation, especially with regard to the quality of the instruments used.
