摘要：O presente artigo discute relações semântico-discursivas nos nomes de lugares com Itá na Amazônia Oriental. Insere-se como parte de investigações linguísticas, cuja abordagem lexicológica pontua entre as demais investigações as relações interculturais dos litotopônimos nos contextos históricos e antropológicos dos povos formadores da região. A recorrência do nome Itá nas denominações de lugares na região da Amazônia Oriental é remetida à formação geológica do espaço, bem como à associação que a pedra – em Tupi-Guarani: itá representa na constituição lexical e cultural do povo formador dessa região. Os nomes selecionados, levantados em pesquisa de campo na região do Gurupi, entre a região do Pará e do Maranhão, foram analisados com respeito à origem e à motivação toponímica (Dick 1990, 1991), observadas como aspectos de interculturalidade nos estudos sobre esses nomes de lugares
其他摘要：This paper discusses semantic-discursive relations in names of places with the name Itá in Eastern Amazon. It is inserted within the domain of Linguistic research, whose lexicological approach is involved among the other investigations of intercultural relations of litotoponyms in historical and anthropological contexts of the peoples which formed that particular region. The recurrence of the name Itá in denominations of sites in the Eastern Amazon region is related to the geological formation of the area as well to what the word “stone” – in Tupi-Guarani: itá – represents in the lexical and cultural constitution of the peoples forming this region. The selected corpus, deriving from field research in the Gurupi region, located between the states of Pará and Maranhão, were analyzed with respect to their origins and to the toponymic motivation (Dick 1990, 1991), seen as intercultural aspects of the studies of these place names
