摘要:For those who seek to think about security, Michel Foucault is one of the main reference authors. Based on the concept of security present in his work, this article aims to investigate how security is configured in the contemporary neoliberal context. The research has led us to think of the rise of liberalism as a turning point in which government practices took security as the axis of governmentality. We understand that liberalism emerged with the republican promise of freedom for all, but it became effective as a security society whose power relations are based on the control of populations.
