摘要:This article tried to understand the place of the fight marajoara in the curriculum in Physical Education of an Institution of Higher Education public of the region north of Brazil. Field research was carried out from interviews with a semi-structured questionnaire with two professor and a focus group of students. The results revealed that the Marajoara figth has implicit place in the curriculum and is absent in the professor practices of the course in question. It was concluded that the Marajoara figth cannot legitimize itself in the curriculum of the initial formation in Physical Education, resulting from the marginalization of its knowledge.
