摘要：The purpose of the academic paper is to establish the relevance of the content and assessment of the preparatory course for teachers in the field of STEM education, as well as to determine the rating of educational topics for those professionals who plan to work in the STEM education system; to identify the knowledge and skills needed to work in STEM education. Research of STEM education is promising as well as further identification of the most effective concepts of STEM education, the formation of effective training courses in order to improve STEM qualifications of teachers in the field of secondary education. It is also promising to work on the introduction of the principles of STEAM education into the modern education system in Eastern Europe, where knowledge and skills of the artistic sphere are added to the list of main educational areas.
