摘要：On July 1, 1994 Maryland codified its rules of evidence, I bringing them into accord with the substance of the Federal Rules of Evidence.2 In doing so, Maryland followed the trend set by thirty-seven other states.3 The codified evidence rules, known collectively as Title 5 of the Maryland Rules, were made applicable to "all actions and proceedings in the courts of this State,"4 with some exceptions.5
