摘要：The paper presents data on a new species of cicada for the fauna of the Republic of Moldova – Metcalfa pruinosa (Say, 1830) (Hemiptera, Flatidae) important pest of ornamental plants in parks and green spaces, and for productive horticultural plants (fruit trees and the common grape vine). The species is native to eastern North America, widespread in the United States, Mexico and Cuba. It was first mentioned in Europe (Italy) in 1979.
