摘要：This study aims to understand the manifestations of religiosity and spirituality in Turkey from a holistic perspective in terms of longitudinal data, deviating from the cross-sectional studies in the literature. In accordance with this purpose, the study is based on the World Values Survey data, the most comprehensive set of longitudinal data accessible for the past 30 to 40 years. In this study, we first reviewed the literature on the manifestation and measurement of religiosity comparatively with the questions pertaining to religion in the World Values Survey. Consequently, departing from the theories relating to the aspects of religiosity and its measurement, we analyzed the questions on religiosity in the World Values Survey classifying them into five main categories. The findings obtained indicate that in light of the World Values Survey data concerning Turkey, the institutional aspect of religion has somewhat declined and a form of it in secular life has gained more visibility in the country. Moreover, the indicators of religiosity in Turkey have been strongly linked with the religion-state-politics relations in the last 30 years.
