摘要：Technical advances in big data and web-based 3D visualisation are reinventing geovisualisation practices. From modes based on spatial aggregation, 3D extrusion, to custom basemaps, the face of webmapping is changing. In order to fully understand this new form of mapping and the underlying issues, this article questions the logic and the modes of cartographic representation of big data that take form on the Web through the lens of emerging technologies and associated uses.
