摘要：The article discusses the advantages and disadvantages of distance learning for staff in connection with the provision of advanced training courses. The purpose of the article is to highlight the most serious problems and advantages that an employee may face in the field of distance learning. The method for solving the problem posed is the analysis of articles and relevant literature in the field of sociology, psychology, information technology, etc. The results define the pressing problems of distance education, including the novelty of the research. One of the problems is associated with a change in ideas about what training is in the era of active digitalization. The second problem is related to the new learning opportunities that technology provides today (VR or AR learning technologies). Thus, modern IT technologies, individually and often together, have changed the concept of problems and learning opportunities and have led to the emergence of new training opportunities in the field of professional development of employees.
