摘要：The geographical structure of a region, the civilizations that have lived throughout history, the demographic structure of the people, their lifestyles and physical settlements affect the formation of the urban fabric. People create architectural designs by shaping their living spaces and determining the culture of space. This structuring seen in architecture is one of the important components in shaping the historical memory of societies and in the formation of urban identity. In this context, ensuring the continuity of the historical urban fabric and maintaining social relations play a major role in strengthening the sense of belonging to that city.The effects of the forced migration between Greece and Turkey after the War of Independence (1919-23- XX century) caused a radical change in the socio-cultural field. This change; It has greatly affected the physical environment and is reflected in the houses where people spend their daily lives. When the refugees came to Turkey; It is a period when the country came out of the war, life continued under difficult conditions, the economy collapsed and the buildings were destroyed. It is seen that some of the Greek people who migrated from Turkey to Greece during the migration process left their houses by looting. This collapse and difficult life in the country has entered a period in which it started to mobilize again with the people who came with the exchange. Although the different conditions of the climate and geography made life difficult for the refugees in the early days, they started to live in harmony with the environment and socio-cultural structure over time, contributing to the revival of the city's economy. One of the settlement areas of the emigrants is Samsun and its districts, the strategically important city of the Black Sea Region. In this context, Alaçam district, which is a Greek village, became the settlement where the exchanged people were settled.This study deals with the plan typology, materials, construction techniques, decoration and equipment elements of Naile Öz's house, which has witnessed the history in Alaçam/ Çeşme Neighborhood and is an example of traditional housing.
